A moth died on my windowsill.

ENGL 111W Assignment #2 Hello readers, I witnessed a fascinating event this morning, and instead of reading I decided to journal my feelings as I watched. I thought I would share it with you all, as it made me reflect on life more than I have before; Moths don’t truly look as dark and unsettling as their original species is described. Moths are also not as beautiful as the butterfly. They are somewhat of a hybrid, in-between the two with its hay-coloured wings, seeming content with life as it is. It is a pleasant morning, an ordinary September morning. The scenery around me is distracting. Everything looks so lively outside…

    Are we surprised?

Did I say I was going to keep up with my blog over the summer break? Yes, yes I did. Did I keep up with my blog over the summer break? Not in the slightest, no. I actually didn’t even open up WordPress until today. My deepest apologies to my MASSIVE fan base. After the absolute tragedy that was the Spring 2021 semester, I decided to take my first summer off since graduating high school. This was four years ago. Let me tell you, I took advantage. My summer consisted of bartending, staying hydrated ;), and working some more. The bartending funded the “staying hydrated ;)” and a couple fun…

    BRB, turning into Rachel Green.

It’s happening people. It has officially gone above five degrees, so, in Canada, it’s summer. The snow has melted, so the sunscreen has come out of hibernation. I love living in Canada, but the rush to get into tank tops every April REALLY has me stress shopping every night. As it is April at the moment, I am in the heat of my summer online purchases. I’ve already shown you my pretty jean shorts that had me more excited than getting into university, and the bikini review is on its way. But, I have come across a new fashion statement that is quite out of the ordinary for myself, but…

Tik Tok fixed my sleep schedule?

As you all know, I tested positive for COVID-19 a little while ago, and was dying of boredom rather than dying from the actual sickness. No matter what I did, I always had way too much time in the day, and not enough things to do to fill it. I am not a big sleeper. I never nap, go to bed late, was never tired. Overall, I never payed much attention to how much sleep I was actually getting. Since I was so bored in quarantine, there were some occasions where I would just fall asleep, which is very unlike me. I would be scrolling through Tik Tok at 10pm,…

    Expect some changes.

PROCESS POST #13 As I am in the last week of my semester, I will say that this place has turned into so much more than I initially thought I was capable of. Who knew I would be able to make a semi-tech savvy blog?! NOT ME. But, don’t expect things to stay the same. As I move to continue this blog long after my PUB 101 days, there are many things that I want to change once I’m not drowning in papers. Let’s discuss shall we? First off, widgets. We’ve talked about these before, and I have come to the decision that you all will be exposed to my…

The need to move to New York is too strong right now.

Have you ever come across an Instagram account or a YouTube video that is just SO good that I makes you want to change your life completely? You become just so envious of one person’s lifestyle that you really would just drop everything, and do anything in oder to get it. Personally, I go through this around once every three to seven business days. With the end of the semester rolling around, and being bombarded with assignments and overcome with stress, I’m really one bad outcome away from disappearing to New York without a trace. No, I’m not actually going to drop everything and go to New York, my anxiety…

This is not a goodbye. Essay #2.

With this roller coaster of a spring semester coming to an end, I thought it’d be important to reminisce over the epic up’s and down’s we have experienced together. WordPress definitely came with its challenges, but after a long struggle, and many moments of trial and error; I can confidently say that I have created something I’m truly proud of. Blogging has always been appealing to me, and I have always longed to have a platform to document my life that wasn’t a popular social media. But, life gets in the way, and it never became a priority. I have never been so happy to start a school assignment until…

My GIF’s aren’t working and that makes me sad.

PROCESS POST #11 We’re nearing the end of the semester, so you know what that means! Student burnout and mental breakdown season baby. Personally, my favourite season of the year. If you didn’t clue in to the fact that I’m being sarcastic, you must be new here. Hi, I’m Brianna. Ever since starting university, I have no idea why but every spring semester is significantly harder for me mentally. It could be that summer is nearing and I want to forget everything and have the time of my life – maybe. Seasonal depression? Good chance, actually. But no matter what I do, I can never seem to break myself out…

Brutally, Brianna – but in moving picture.

Our final mini assignment was something I was surprisingly excited to work on, considering I can use it at an opportunity to show you guys a new thing I’m loving. We all remember how I was telling you guys that disposable camera’s were it right? If you don’t, go look at that bad boy of a post cause they really are such a fun toy. I didn’t even know that it was possible, but I have discovered a twist to your regular photos that give them so much more of a story; turn them into a GIF. Almost all of us have iPhones, and I’m sure you all have discovered…

Because more people definitely need to be reminded of me.

PROCESS POST #10 In class, we talk of useful methods of broadcasting our blog or any online content further in the current industry. The fancy word for it is transmedia integration. Big stuff I know. Since I’m not particularly fond of the idea of more than five people ever looking at this blog and getting the inside scoop to my thoughts, we’re going to talk hypothetical here. If I were wanting to incorporate transmedia integration in order to promote my blog or the theme it entails, the first place I would think of is Instagram or TikTok. In our current pandemic-ridden, social media ruling reality, there is no other way…
